Great interest in new solutions
What was already foreshadowed at the last trade fairs found its continuation at the International Medical Imaging Exhibition (ITEM) of the Japanese Radiological Society in Yokohama: radiologists are back and want to discuss solutions live on site again. "We have already counted almost as many visitors as before the pandemic and are not only therefore very satisfied with our appearance at ITEM," said Mamiko Katagiri, Manager, EMEA and Americas Sales & Marketing Department at JVCKENWOOD. "We were able to welcome many customers and interested parties to our booth and present our entire range of medical image monitors to them. Our new CL-S301 3-megapixel color monitor was particularly in demand."
JVCKENWOOD has become a world leader in broadcasting and consumer audio products. But the company from Kanagawa, Japan, has also been a well-known name in the medical field for decades. It began with projection solutions and radio technology, both for small intercommunication solutions and entire emergency call systems. Finally, in 1975, the company entered the medical monitor business and introduced the world's first 8-inch X-Y monitor for ultrasound. Thereafter, the company established itself with the development and manufacture of high-end medical monitors and a combination of unique technologies and know-how.
Five years ago, JVCKENWOOD redesigned its monitors from the ground up and launched the i3 Series - kicking off a success story. At first glance, the new housing design stood out; the displays were significantly narrower than in the previous generation. "In the meantime, we have gradually raised all monitors to the i3 level," says Marcel Herrmann, Marketing Manager Medical Imaging at JVCKENWOOD. "In the process, we have not only further developed the devices visually, but also technologically. The new 3D lookup table, for example, enables the best possible color calibration. Colors have never been so natural and precise. This also ensures that the image impression on every monitor is the same throughout the entire setup. Combined with the new color front sensor, we can ensure this for the entire life of a display."
The Health Service of the Principality of Asturias (Servicio de Salud del Principado de Asturias, SESPA) has been responsible for the management of all medical services in the Spanish province since the transfer of health responsibilities from the central government in 2002. This includes, among other things, the management and administration of currently 13 hospitals with a total of 3,300 beds, 78 health centers and 15,000 employees. A key aspect is also the procurement of all goods for the facilities.
JVC launches CL-S600 color monitor with latest technology
Everything but mammography, that's what JVCKENWOOD's new CL-S600 6-megapixel monitor can do. With its 30-inch display, it can show medical images of different modalities such as CT, CR/DR, MR, ultrasound and pathology side by side. The arrangement of the windows can be freely selected. The large screen without a center bar creates a comfortable environment for radiological diagnostics.
The International Medical Imaging Exhibition (ITEM) of the Japanese Radiological Society was held this year as a hybrid event - with a presence part at the PACIFICO exhibition center in Yokohama and extensive online presentations. JVCKENWOOD was also present on site. The focus of interest was on the latest diagnostic monitors as well as infection-resistant, waterproof keyboards and mice
With the MS-S200, of JVCKENWOOD It impresses with high luminance and high contrast, making it suitable for general diagnostic imaging. "With a contrast ratio of 1,800:1, the display can accurately display various medical images from direct radiography (DR), CT and MRI. The maximum brightness of 1,900 cd/m2 noticeably increases the number of perceivable gray levels, which is why radiologists can reliably find even the finest structures," said Marcel Herrmann, Marketing Manager Medical Imaging at JVCKENWOOD, explaining the advantages of the new monitor. An integrated uniformity equalizer automatically corrects luminance and ensures stable images across the entire screen. In addition, the MS-S200 features a panel with low blue light content, reducing eye strain during diagnostic examinations.
