The International Medical Imaging Exhibition (ITEM) of the Japanese Radiological Society was held this year as a hybrid event - with a presence part at the PACIFICO exhibition center in Yokohama and extensive online presentations. JVCKENWOOD was also present on site. The focus of interest was on the latest diagnostic monitors as well as infection-resistant, waterproof keyboards and mice.
Display for different diagnostic images
The 30.9-inch CL-S1200 color monitor attracted particular attention. The 12-megapixel (4,200 horizontal and 2,800 vertical) device can display medical images of different modalities such as CT, CR/DR, MR, ultrasound or mammography, and pathology on one display - saving radiologists from having to use multiple medical displays side by side. The arrangement of the windows can be freely selected, and the large screen without a center bar creates a comfortable environment for radiological diagnostics. With its maximum brightness of 1200 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1500:1, it is also suitable for mammography.
Reliable diagnosis thanks to state-of-the-art technologies
With the CL-R211, JVCKENWOOD introduced its proven 2-megapixel color monitor. With a screen diagonal of 21.3 inches, the maximum brightness of 500cd/m² enables reporting of images of all modalities - except mammography - in accordance with DIN 6868-157 for room class 1 and 2. Function keys on the front with virtual descriptions that can be individually assigned give users direct access to various functions.
The CL-R190 has also proven itself as a viewing monitor for radiology. With the 1.3-megapixel 19" color display, physicians can view both clinical data and images. The device is characterized by its very high-quality and stable image impression even under different viewing angles. The convincing image display is made possible by a high-quality IPS panel with LED backlighting.
Multifunctional monitor for surgery
With CLINIO, JVCKENWOOD has introduced a surgical monitor that meets the diverse requirements of modern imaging. Its versatility is demonstrated by the equally high-quality display of biological information, X-ray information, images of the surgical field, images of endoscopes, and images of robot-assisted surgery. The intelligent display management solution also stands for hygiene, improved safety and efficient operation. The goal is to ensure safety in operating rooms and other medical facilities at a time when COVID-19 is the new normal.
Hygienically safe keyboards and mice
Also, on display in Yokohama were the MEDIGENIC series of anti-infective, waterproof keyboards and mice. They have dustproofed and waterproof properties and can be disinfected with alcohol. The completely flat design allows for easy cleaning and minimizes areas that cannot be sanitized. In this way, MEDIGENIC devices provide a clean and safe medical environment by preventing the spread of infections in hospitals caused by sharing equipment in modalities, operating rooms, exam rooms, wards and other locations.
