JVCKENWOOD records major order from Spain

The Health Service of the Principality of Asturias (Servicio de Salud del Principado de Asturias, SESPA) has been responsible for the management of all medical services in the Spanish province since the transfer of health responsibilities from the central government in 2002. This includes, among other things, the management and administration of currently 13 hospitals with a total of 3,300 beds, 78 health centers and 15,000 employees. A key aspect is also the procurement of all goods for the facilities.


Province of Asturias to be equipped with 403 color and grayscale displays

 

The Health Service of the Principality of Asturias (Servicio de Salud del Principado de Asturias, SESPA) has been responsible for the management of all medical services in the Spanish province since the transfer of health responsibilities from the central government in 2002. This includes, among other things, the management and administration of currently 13 hospitals with a total of 3,300 beds, 78 health centers and 15,000 employees. A key aspect is also the procurement of all goods for the facilities.

"We are very happy that we were able to handle a considerable project here in cooperation with Telefónica. In total, we have supplied 403 of our monitors with a total volume of almost 500,000 euros to the facilities in the province," says Marcel Herrmann, Marketing Manager Medical Imaging at JVCKENWOOD, not without pride. The company has distributed 129 MS-S300 grayscale displays with a resolution of three megapixels and 26 5-megapixel grayscale displays for diagnostic imaging of direct radiography, CT and MR, as well as 242 CL-S300 3-megapixel color displays for diagnostic applications and six CL-S500 multimodality displays for mammography to the facilities.

Reliable quality assurance from a distance
To ensure easy and smooth quality assurance, SESPA relies on JVCKENWOOD's PM Medivisor. Since many tests can take place remotely, the solution enables easy and time-saving management of the large installation. Compared to conventional QA solutions, PM Medivisor operates continuously. This means that any problem is detected immediately. QA does not have to wait until the next test or the next problem reported by the user.

It is especially helpful to be able to schedule and perform tasks or calibrations remotely. Calibrations are automatically scheduled and performed remotely, without unnecessary waiting time. In addition, reporting is also improved. The server generates and saves all documents automatically, thus enabling virtually paperless reporting on display quality.
